First, kudos to our server, Catherine, I think. She clearly likes where she works and it shows in her attention to the guests and her interest in sharing info about the menu items. The other staff were slso great! Everyone was friendly and welcoming! Now for the food. You want to eat here! My husband had the PLI burger and said it was one of the best burgers he’s had in recent memory. The meat was fresh and the cook perfect! I had the chicken wings and they were great! Catherine (sp?) told us how the wings are always fresh from a local purveyor (same for the custom burger blend), and how they are seasoned then roasted low and slow, then a quick fry before serving. These were honestly the best wings I’ve had in ages. They tasted fresh and flavorful. I saw a salad someone was having with fried chicken and it also looked really fresh! Often if you go into a restaurant in a remote camping area and order a salad, the lettuce is wilted and sad, (I love salads , but don’t order for this reason), but this looked fresh and crisp. Clearly the owner and/or cook are invested in serving good food with local ingredients! We were here to camp at Promised Land State Park, which was also lovely! We plan to come back to the park, and look forward to coming back to PLI!

We started with the buffalo shrimp, and I went with the Cornish hen. Both mazing. I got about 4 bites in until I was full the steak was awesome too! Bonus, you can get beer to go.

This place was such a gem find! We were visiting for the weekend and I had made a reservation. Unfortunately I didn’t know it was close to closing time being a server myself we felt horrible and tried to get out quickly and it was also snowing. With that being said this is why I couldn’t take many photos. The buffalo shrimp was hands down THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. My husband had the waygu burger I had a few bites it was delicious I highly recommend! I ate a flatbread it wasn’t the greatest and the garlic smashed potato’s were sooooo creamy and good! Our server Brianne was so sweet even at closing time! She was on top of our table and needs without ever rolling her eyes or making it obvious she wanted to leave for the night I’ve been there and she didn’t rush us thank you . I wish I caught her name she was really pretty with dark hair and a lip piercing just wanted to thank you for your wonderful service!

We visited on Sunday late afternoon of Columbus Day weekend. Fairly busy. Was not able to get some items listed on the menu. We all did enjoy our food. Nice size portions at a fair price. We will definitely return next year when visiting the area.

Terrific food and a great selection for the meat eaters. I had seafood risotto and it was terrific. The hamburgers are massive and cooked perfectly. Martini was really good and the staff are awesome. Not to mention great music and service.

This gem is one of three primary eating and drinking establishments in the park. All worth a visit, but PLI stand out in my book. Mackenzie and Haley never stopped moving and handled a rush like pros. Customers were greeted at door and seated. I didn’t see any empty glasses. Kitchen was slammed too but I didn’t hear any yelling from there. Wings were great. A very pleasant experience. I will be bac&!

We came at lunch. We were visiting the park and stopped. The place was not overly full and we were greeted immediately. We sat inside. Our drink order was taken immediately and our server was very polite. We looked over the menu and thought the pricing was a bit high as none of our sandwiches came with fries and they were a 3.00 up charge. It was clearly spelled out in the menu, but a disappointment. We chose 2 elk burgers and added fries. A hot chicken sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich. All came out as requested. The fries were hot and fresh, the sandwiches were also hot and fresh. The chicken sandwich was a small let down. It was very tasty but very thin. We took the chicken off the one half to add to the other half so it was more meaty. The pulled pork was very good, the bun was the problem. It was large and looked great when put down, but it was the type of bread that was the issue. It was hard to eat the sandwich without it squiring out the side. It tasted great, but it was difficult to eat. I managed though. A softer option would have been better. My only real complaint was refills. They charge you a dollar each. The waitress came to our table asking if we wanted refills but never informed us there was a charge. It wasn't listed on the menu that we saw. It's something she could/should have mentioned. Overall we enjoyed our visit. With the pricing, we may not just stop on a whim, but would probably go back for a special occasion.
